Quick Project Update and What’s Next

Hey everyone!
We wanted to give you a quick update before we head out for a short break. There’s been some exciting progress with Project Nocturnal, and we’re eager to share what’s been happening behind the scenes.
Level Design Progress
We’re thrilled to report that the level design is nearly fully fleshed out. The map is coming together, and the next step will be polishing and making the final adjustments as we enter the playtesting phase. It’s been a rewarding process watching the world of Nocturnal take shape, and we’re really close to having everything in place for the first round of tests.
Light Gun: A Dynamic New Feature
On top of the level design, we’ve been having a lot of fun with the light gun mechanics. (Spoiler: it’s looking amazing!) We’ve worked in different angles, strengths, and even incorporated reflective surfaces that allow light to bounce off and create dynamic shadows around obstacles. This has really enhanced the gameplay feel, and we’re excited to keep refining it. There’s still a lot to be done, but this will be our main focus over the coming weeks.
What’s Next
As we move into the polishing and playtesting stages, we’ll be fine-tuning these mechanics and making sure everything works as smoothly as possible. After our break, we’ll be back with some more detailed updates—and who knows, maybe even some sneak peeks of what we’ve been hinting at over the past month.
A Short Break
Speaking of breaks, we’ll be taking some time off for the next two weeks due to holidays. While the blog will be quiet, rest assured that when we’re back, we’ll be diving straight into the action with lots more to share.
